Acer Iconia B1, a 7-inch tablet low cost

Acer would be developing a tablet called Acer B1, as a leak , in order to compete in the field of low cost. Its specifications are not spectacular but decent enough to give jurisdiction to the Nexus 7 on Google, which is rumored could draw a model of $ 99 .

The Iconia B1 would surely come with a 7-inch screen, or at least, it is estimated that the dimensions are similar to that size. Also, would have a resolution of 1024 x 600. And if the size of the screen were true, would have ppp 169.55, below 216 dpi which owns Google Nexus 7.

Inside, incorporate a dual core processor at 1.2 GHz along with 512 MB of RAM. As for storage, have 8 GB of internal memory but is expandable through microSD cards. It also comes with GPS and Bluetooth 4.0. On the other hand, will have Android 4.1.2 serial Jelly Bean.

In this league in which brands compete to offer the best price products are slaughtered many technical features. Is far removed from the philosophy of incorporating the latest technology. It focuses on providing a product with acceptable quality for the general public with a very high unmet.

However, some devices tend to be very practical. They tend to be very discreet to wear them all day with us because of its small size and light weight. Halfway between the large tablets and smartphones are a very agile and versatile devices.

In addition, the low cost makes me think of another business model, as is the case with the Google Nexus 4 , their intention is to sell a cheap mobile to profit from the contents. Beyond the issue of stock that is suffering the terminal, is a very different strategy to which we are accustomed. All this makes me wonder if in the future it will become cheaper much the selling price of the devices to generate profits by other means, such as might be advertising, for example.

Still no date for submission predefined but is very likely to see at CES 2013 or MWC in 2013. We do not know what it will cost but given its performance will surely keep a low price. Will it cost the same as the hypothetical Nexus 7 $99? Personally, I do not think you should spend the $ 200 it costs Google tablet now.
