Apple expands its change program iMac hard drive

For over a year Apple announced that some of their computers all-in-one, best known as the iMac, which were sold on a specific date, would have problems with your drive so began an exchange program of HDD gtratuito for models that were purchased between May and July of 2011. However, this program has been extended today for more models of these computers.

The hard drive in question (causing the problem) is the Seagate 1TB of storage capacity, and according to Apple this model be affecting most of those who had originally estimated. This is why we have extended replacement program and now all iMac purchased between October 2009 and July 2011 may be subject to revision.

If you are one of these users do not need to panic, because only a small portion of these iMac was affected by the failure. To find out if yours does, you must access the Apple support site and enter the serial number there for your team. To be among those affected should contact the company on the block with the phone number or email that will facilitate the support site, depending on your country of residence. Of course, you should make a backup of your hard drive before sending your computer for your replacement.

The exchange program for these iMac hard drive will last until April 12, 2013. However, Apple will continue to evaluate the problem and extend the deadline if necessary.
