As a developer the Wii U has a processor “horrible and slow”
The Wii U just came out and now they are giving everywhere. If not just be well defined using the gamepad, that if the hard drive is not enough , that if online capabilities absent, etc.. For now, but all analyzes agreed that was pretty good processor and surely we could run the same games on PS3 or Xbox 360 .
Are you sure? Well for Shishkovtsov Oles, technical boss 4A Games, this is not true because the words verbatim , the processor of the Wii U is “horrible and slow” and therefore their upcoming game Metro: Last Night is not going to appear in this . The game was planned to launch alongside Wii U versions of PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 but so far can not be.
A colleague of Oles and developer 4A Games, Huw Beynon, has been a bit more diplomatic and explained that Metro: Last Night had no intention of porting it to both PS3 and Xbox 360 and Wii U. For the latter made a first inspection of hardware and watched as this would have a negative impact on the game, surely lowering their quality thus saw no reason to try to make a Wii U version. They also note that you can re-take a look but can not promise anything.
Time will tell if this is a minority opinion or if Nintendo really have to worry. If we find more developers who have trouble porting their games to Wii U, Nintendo will have to start thinking about a reaction. Moreover the time both Batman: Arkham City and Assassins Creed 3 seems to look like the PS3 or Xbox versions. Nor better but maybe this will change in the future.Tags: Nintendo, Nintendo Wii U
