Flipboard launches Android version for tablets
The habits of users in the consumption of information have evolved considerably over time, thanks to mobile devices tend more towards applications that traditional navigation and this change, for example, is clearly seen in how we change feeds classics by applications like Google Currents and Flipboard provide us the news in a much friendlier format. The latter is, for a couple of years, one of the reference applications to convert news feeds in a magazine that you can read comfortably from your smartphone and, although from May was available on Android, but was available for smartphones of this platform fills a void that Fliboard today with a specific application for tablets of this platform.
It was last May when Flipboard, after officially announcing the presentation of Galaxy SIII, finally showed up in Android but, although the service was born of the iPad, the Android application was aimed at smartphones and not tablets. From today this “empty” finally fills and Android tablet owners (like the Nexus 7 and 10 of Google or the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1) can enjoy a different way to access current news or, for example, information sharing contacts via Twitter or Facebook.

As was the case with the version for smartphones, this version of Flipboard for Android Tablets is optimized for the form factor of a tablet, ie is oriented to the screen size, proportion and resolution of a tablet to give users the best possible experience in reading content. The user experience is, in my opinion, one of the values of Flipboard and if it is comfortable to read the news from the press from the smartphone, in a 10-inch tablet should be feeling much better.
Considering the strong competition that exists today in the tablet market, and the market niche with Android tablets within tighter budgets, launching Flipboard for Android tablets was a very natural and logical evolution, especially as surely these devices are one of the gifts more we see during the Christmas season.Tags: Android, Flipboard, Tablets
