Google Maps now shows the oceans through Street View
Google is constantly devising ways to improve their web services, since its so popular email platform GMail, up Calendar, Maps, Google+ and the new Drive. Well today have added a new function or method to Street View, and this is the chance to see stunning real images of our oceans.
They do this through their work in conjunction with the institute responsible for ” The Catlin Seaview Survey “, which is simply the scientific study of reefs in the world largest and most important there. Panoramic images are now available on Street View by Google Maps are the result of months of diving on the reefs.
But now these images are available to the public from the comfort of your computer or even from the comfort of your mobile device with Android operating system. We just clicked as examples Heron corals , the coral reef Molokini Crater , the beach on Oahu’s Hanauma Hawaii and more.
Definitely a wonderful addition to this in itself fascinating web mapping service, that through Street View now shows the interior of the shopping centers and some shops, interior universities, airports and streets of the major cities of world view.
Feel free to dive in these oceans and meet more stunning reefs of our planet, from the web.Tags: Android, Google Maps, Street View
