IM+, one of the best options to chat on Windows 8

IM +, one of the best options to chat on Windows 8

Today is one day less for the launch of one of the products of the year, . Loved by one and hated by others, the truth is that in the background does not change both the user experience if we ignore Metro, the new interface commented. The release date is scheduled for within just nine days, on October 26, but some of us have spent some time using as developers or as home users. Have the Developer Preview or the Consumer Preview – Maybe RTM or included in MSTF or MSDN? -, The fact is that there are many apps that have emerged and are worth mentioning. Today we speak of one dedicated to communicate with others.

I speak of +, an application that is in the Windows Store trend, because it allows us to chat through the most popular services on the market. And by popular I mean over 15. The interface is completely underground, and how attractive chat.

How does it work? Well, basically we have to look at IM+ Windows Store , and after installing the application, which certainly weighs very little, simply go to the Accounts or Accounts section. They can add all the services usually use.

The total list looks like services, and are ordered starting with those that are probably the five most popular, which parted with a line break in the application and that are in two different groups:

  • Facebook
  • Google
  • ICQ
  • Skype
  • Yahoo!
  • AOL
  • MeinVZ
  • Gadu-Gadu
  • VKomtakte
  • @ Mail.RU
  • Odnoklassniki
  • SINA Weibo
  • Jabber
  • Renren
  • Yandex IM
  • Mig33
  • Fetion
  • Mamba

Once added, you can choose to configure how we want to display the contacts and if we group them or hide unconnected, something I highly recommend if you are going to add more than one account.

All appear unified in the contacts section, and chat with whoever we want is as simple as double-clicking or pressing on the touch-username. We will automatically accessing the chat view, where we have three sub-views: Contacts, Chats and Favorites. Contact us access to all our friends without even stop chatting while Chats and favorites show the current talks and our favorite people, respectively.

This is a very good idea for those who want, for example, chat with Skype contacts or any other service without even installing the original applications, but certainly its strongest point is to unite most popular services, becoming a center unified conversations.

The drawback is that the current version can give some problems when chat depending on where you placed the mouse. If it moves, however slightly, may cause us to change the view between contacts, so I recommend you try it before adopting it permanently, though undoubtedly server loves the potential. It is likely that the bug is fixed in that comment the next day, anyway.
