Intel Paul Otellini leaves after 40 years

One of the most iconic innovation in computer hardware and the world at large is, without doubt, Paul Otellini, especially in the last 10 years. This man has dedicated his life to Intel, the giant processors and microprocessors, and today, has announced his retirement from the company after 40 years of service. Awesome.

Otellini began four decades ago to work in a very different then, and thanks to him and his hard work in this company, have made tremendous technological advances and especially a marked dominance of the x86 architecture processors and all its market.

The executive has already eight years as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and President of this corporation, and this time with him in charge will always be remembered by some spectacular achievements and financial results and the fact that Apple started using its processors, with this a company that gradually becomes a larger share of the computer market.

Although Otellini unable so far to tackle the ARM architecture in the mobile market, Intel Medfield platform promises a lot but just have a couple of months of being released in the market dominated by ARM. His latest strategy has been the development of Ultrabooks, which manufacturers have adopted at home, but the public has been a little reluctant to these, they expect something better to lower their prices.

Intel Paul Otellini leaves next month May 2013, after which he will remain as advisor of this enormous undertaking.
