New Toshiba Satellite U840W, an entertainment Ultrabook
Toshiba has also made an appearance in this IFA 2012, offering a series of releases in the world of laptops and tablets, as in the case of convertible U920T computer and now they have made official what has been called its first ultrabook for entertainment, the new Toshiba Satellite U840W.
The first surprise about this ultrabook is undoubtedly its screen, a 14.4-inch panel with a resolution of 1792×768 pixels, but with a 21:9 aspect, which has been called “super wide screen”, and has the same format that is used in the film, so you can watch movies comfortably without losing some of the content on the screen nor have those annoying black bars above and below the image. For the rest, this laptop has very attractive features.
Features Toshiba U840W

- Intel to choose from generation Ivy Bridge.
- RAM from 4 to 6 GB.
- Choose storage hard drive (HDD) and solid disk (SSD) up to 256GB.
- 3 USB 3.0 ports.

No doubt your screen will get only a very exclusive market, as this type of design is some basic problems for the user, such as getting a bag that permits a laptop much longer and shallow, and that certainly not at all pleased this type of panel.
But Jorge Borges, spokesman for the IFA 2012 Toshiba says that the company is aware of these details, and therefore does not plan to launch a large stock of these Satellite U840W the market, but their idea is to try an experiment with this concept to see that both scale and test whether or not it is worth further development of such notebooks. They also have in their plans to target a high-end audience, which is demonstrated by the price of up to 1,300 euros with which account.
The entertainment for Toshiba Ultrabook will be released between October and November in the United States and Europe, with a price of 999 euros for the base model.Tags: IFA 2012, Toshiba, Ultrabooks
