Roboy, the humanoid robot “born” in four months
What we see in the pictures is the “most advanced humanoid robot in the world.” So researchers define Artificial Intelligence Laboratory of the University of Zurich to his “creature”, Roboy . A service robot project that simulates like never before achieved a robot-child.
Roboy is the effort of 15 companies and more than 40 engineers and scientists to build a machine that is as close as possible to humans, with skin and tendons that equal the human model and get a similar move.
A project that began to take shape in June this year and nine months ending in March, as a human being, with the “birth” of Roboy. This March, the robot will fulfill a number of functions “service”. The idea is that Roboy can execute a series of actions in the service of customers, including help in household chores, cleaning and security jobs or even in hospitals.
They also talk about the possibility of implementing it as a service to assist elderly or disabled, a service robot that can live great autonomy with aging and care required by many elderly people.
The robot will be presented on 8 and 9 March in Zurich in a project seeking funding through crowdfunding and can participate through Roboy Make your Friend .Tags: robotics, Roboy, Video
