Samsung Galaxy Player, a 5.8-inch monster

Samsung has introduced the Samsung Player, a media player 5.8-inch, which is larger than the Galaxy Note, the Galaxy SIII, or even that the next Galaxy Note 2. This device is designed to provide users with a rich multimedia experience with a colorful LCD screen of 960 x 540 pixels, running on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with TouchWiz interface and WiFi connectivity.

It is not known yet its price or its processor, but is known to have:

  • Internal memory 16GB or 32GB expandable via microSD
  • VGA front camera for video calls
  • Front speakers for better sound reproduction
  • Bluetooth connection for connection to other devices
  • 2500mAh battery to support the display and multimedia capabilities

However, we think that Samsung is experimenting with these devices, but we generated some doubts both size (does anyone want a device SuperSizeMe size?) And the fact being halfway between a tablet and a smartphone, because if you already have some of these devices, the features of the are already covered. It is natural to think then that is for those who prefer to listen to music, read books or watch movies on an additional device and are willing to pay the price.

Beyond doubt, the daring him to create the Galaxy Note, a device that has been successful also being midway between smartphone or tablet. It may, again, be creating a niche in the market.
