Samsung Tab with Windows RT ATIV born at IFA 2012

It’s beginning the first press conference of Samsung in this IFA 2012, the Mobile Unpacked event, where the Koreans present everything related to new mobile devices, either with Android operating system, Windows Phone or the new Windows 8. While already know the Galaxy Note II , now is the turn of the first tablet with Windows RT of the house, the new Samsung Tab ATIV.

This tablet has very powerful features, and the version of Windows 8 operating system designed for mobile devices with ARM architecture processors, knock. Here we list everything that is known about it until now.

Specifications of the Samsung Tab ATIV

  • 10.1-inch screen with a resolution of 1280×800 pixels.
  • Dual core processor with 1.5 GHz frequency, model unknown. It is still unknown how much memory it incorporates.
  • 1.9 MP front camera.
  • 5 MP rear camera with LED Flash.
  • Mini USB and HDMI ports.
  • Weight of 570 grams and thickness of 8.9 mm.

Following the introduction of the tablet Surface of Microsoft was expected that many manufacturers chose to launch as soon as possible their own tablets with Windows RT, especially Samsung who did not think twice before launching new gadgets.

Its release date would be October 26, the day that Windows 8 will come to market, but its price is still unknown.

Gizmodo is at IFA 2012, so you can expect the “hands-on” of this and many more devices soon.
