The Angry Birds enter the Wars

The new game from Rovio Entertainment, Star Wars Angry Birds is available from today on all major platforms on the market.

Peter Vesterbacka, CMO of Rovio Entertainment, said:

This is our best game so far, we are excited to see that we have fulfilled the wishes of our fans, who can now play with Luke, Leia and the rest of the characters.

In the game, a group of birds brave rebels fighting the evil imperial pigs, through the most iconic scenes from the saga of Lucasfilm, recently acquired by Disney.

Angry Birds Star Wars, is available in market leading platforms such as:

  • iPhone for a price of $0.99
  • iPad for a price of $2.99
  • Amazon Kindle for a price of $ 2.99
  • Windows Phone 8 at a price of $ 0.99

Consumers of Android, can download the game for free completely , as happened in other previous sagas.

Colum Slevin, Vice President Operations at Lucasfilm, said:

This is the kind of creative partnerships that have enabled the Star Wars saga kept alive after 35 years.

The game features over 80 levels, in which the rebels birds can use swords, laser guns and even the Force to move large blocks, so you can kill their enemies.

Simultaneously with the launch of this new title, Rovio and Lucasfilm have introduced a trailer nueo classic film which tells the cantina scene from Star Wars, with the characters of the new game in the lead roles.
