The Intel Core i3 Ivy Bridge generation and market

For a couple of days were ringing rumors that the processor giant, Intel, launch “within a very short time” a new range of next-generation CPU, called Ivy Bridge, for desktops for less demanding users to need a pointer processor. Finally, today confirmed the rumors and has made official the new Core i3, and has launched.

These midrange processors come in five different models but with a number of features similar to its predecessors, such as having two cores and four threads, plus still have Turbo Bost.

Characteristics of new Core i3

  • Intel Core i3-3220: dual core and 4 threads. Frequency to 3.3 GHz. 22 nanometers. Intel Integrated Graphics GPU HD 2500 with 650 MHz frequency to 1.05 GHz and Turbo $125 price.
  • Intel Core i3-3220T: dual core and 4 threads. Frequency to 2.8 GHz. 22 nanometers. Intel Integrated Graphics GPU HD 2500 with 650 MHz frequency to 1.05 GHz and Turbo priced at $125.
  • Intel Core i3-3225: 2 cores and 4 threads. Frequency to 3.3 GHz. 22 nanometers. Intel Integrated Graphics GPU HD 4000 with 650 MHz frequency to 1.05 GHz and Turbo price of $144.
  • Intel Core i3-3240: 2 cores and 4 threads. Frequency to 3.4 GHz. 22 nanometers. Intel Integrated Graphics GPU HD 2500 with 650 MHz frequency to 1.05 GHz and Turbo price of $147.
  • Intel Core i3-3240T: 2 cores and 4 threads. Frequency to 2.9 GHz. 22 nanometers. Intel Integrated Graphics GPU HD 2500 with 650 MHz frequency to 1.05 GHz and Turbo price of $138.

These processors have integrated graphics, but as you can see, the Core i3-3225 incorporates a high-performance model to opt for Intel HD 4000. In addition, the two processors that culminate its name with a letter “T” are those with the lowest consumption of just 35 W instead of 55 W in the other models.

These new Intel Core are on sale from today.
