The Sony NEX-6, close to seeing the light
It has leaked another picture, this time more clearly and accurately the Sony NEX-6 , mirrorless camera from Sony that would be officially launched at Photokina on September 12.
This stands out as mirrorless camera, the Wi-Fi connectivity also seen in the NEX-5R, interchangeable lenses, 16MP photos and video recording in HD quality. It is halfway between the Sony NEX-5R and long overdue Sony NEX-7, which apparently will be released later this year. Remember that the NEX-7 was scheduled for launch in 2011 but flooding in the country where they are manufactured, Thailand, were repeatedly postponed its launch.
When we talk about internal mirrorless cameras, cameras we mean that suppress the typical internal mirror in DSLRs which reflects light from the lens and displayed on an optical viewfinder. This reduces the size up to 50% compared with DSLRs while providing superior image quality to any compact camera (point-and-shoot) due to image sensors having very superior in quality and size. With no optical viewfinder, the image to be taken can be displayed on an LCD or an electronic viewfinder. This model Sony NEX-6 according to the leaked photos include an electronic viewfinder, although that remains to be confirmed.
This segment is designed for people who want a quality and speed than shooting compact camera but do not want to pay what are usually bulky DSLR cameras. It is not a new invention but if recent popularity and its cost ranges from $ 500 to about $ 2000. The cost of the Sony NEX-6 would be around the $1000.
