Twitter introduces filters for photos on iPhone and Android application
The last update of the application of Twitter for iPhone and Android includes the ability to take pictures using filters, a clear strategy to capitalize on one of the most common uses of this network: publish and promote photos.
In what may well be interpreted as a new form of competition between Twitter and Facebook (who own Instagram), this would be another chapter in a new but interesting battle to capture visitor traffic generated photos. Days ago Kevin Systrom (Instagram CEO) confirmed that blocked the display pictures directly on Twitter making it necessary to visit the profile of who took the photo outside Twitter.com.
The new version of the official Twitter client for iPhone and Android can choose from eight different filters and publish a photo without having to go to another application or host the picture on other Social network. An effort to keep users within the same property, a very clear trend that we have observed in all the major social networks, but especially on Twitter during 2012.Tags: Photos, Social, Twitter
