Windows Phone 8 confirmed for October 29

Windows Phone 8 confirmed for October 29

Microsoft certainly has had a very busy day, since they have not been enough to announce the release date of Surface , but now also sent invitations to the media for the presentation of the final version of Windows Phone 8, the new system Mobile operating, which will barely three days after the arrival of the Surface and Windows 8 tablet market, on 29 October.

It was last June when it will be met this major upgrade of Microsoft’s mobile platform, however, did not announce when that day would be available in the market. That’s why the 29th of this month finally know the final version of the platform, and most importantly, from the day we begin to expect the landing on the market the next generation of smartphones with Windows Phone.

And is that while Nokia introduced its new Lumia 820 and Lumia 920 , HTC as its Windows Phone 8X and Samsung the ATIV S , just to name a few, the closest thing that all these manufacturers mentioned on market availability of these terminals was “the end of this year 2012.”

This is because, as in the case of Windows PC tablets and 8, could not ensure a release without put a date prior to the ultimate arrival of the platform. For Windows Phone 8 will arrive on October 29th, so hopefully this platform many phones for Christmas, starting with what they have been presented.

Finally, in the case of first generation Nokia Lumia (710, 800 and 900) we can expect this November to be upgraded to Windows Phone 7.8 , since as announced in June, the new OS version will not previous models.

In Gizmodo keep you informed of all the ads that Microsoft made this day.
